The evening begins with a guided tour of the gardens landscaped by the poet and they remain close to his original design.

Enjoy the views of Lake Windermere and Rydal Water; experience a little of the romantic ambience of this natural garden.

Relax in the poet’s library with a glass of chilled white wine and some famous Grasmere gingerbread, soaking up the history of this period of the ‘Romantics’ as the words of the poet are read.

Then experience the lived-in family atmosphere as you wander freely through the house of one of England’s Poet Laureates. (1843).
