The Tea Room
Open daily 10am - 4pm.
Located in what was originally the saddlery with the coach house below, The Tea room serves a selection of homemade cakes and fair trade drinks.
Wordsworth converted this area during his time at Rydal Mount, into a schoolroom for his daughter Dora where his sister Dorothy gave her niece private lessons. Now having been restored in a sympathetic manner to include a small souvenir shop, the Tea room retains much of the building's original character.
Weather permitting there is easy access to enjoy your tea in a corner of Wordsworth's famous romantic garden.
