The Tea Room
Open daily 10am - 4pm from 1st March to 31st October. Closed from 1st November 2011 to 29th February 2012.
Located in what was originally the saddlery over the coach house, The Tea room serves a selection of homemade cakes and fair trade drinks.
Wordsworth converted this area, during his time at Rydal Mount, into a schoolroom for his daughter Dora where his sister Dorothy gave her niece private lessons. Now having been restored in a sympathetic manner to include a small souvenir shop, the Tea room retains much of the building's original character.
Weather permitting there is easy access to enjoy your tea in a corner of Wordsworth's famous romantic garden.
