The Tea Room
Open daily 10am - 4pm from 1st March to 31st October. Open in the house from 1st November 2013 to 28th February 2014 Wednesdays - Sundays 11am - 4pm House & Garden closed all of January.
Located during the Summer in what was originally the saddlery over the coach house, The Tea room serves a selection of homemade cakes and fair trade drinks.
Wordsworth converted this area, during his time at Rydal Mount, into a schoolroom for his daughter Dora where his sister Dorothy gave her niece private lessons. Now having been restored in a sympathetic manner to include a small souvenir shop, the Tea room retains much of the building's original character.
Weather permitting there is easy access to enjoy your tea in a corner of Wordsworth's famous romantic garden March to October.
