As I look through the window of the Poet today I am left in awe of the beauty as the colours of the flowers plants shrubs and trees start to unfold. Only in nature can orange, red, blue and green all go together in such harmony. Wordsworth was aware that nature cannot be improved upon...

"From William's Words"

"From William's Words" is an exhibition of paintings by Ian Scott Massie which draw on the writings of William Wordsworth for their subjects and moods. The exhibition is being staged in Rydal Mount - Wordsworth's home for the last thirty-seven years of his life and still owned by the Wordsworth family.

This is a latest in a long series of themed exhibitions from Ian Scott Massie - the last was "Spirit of Place" about Fountains Abbey, held at Fountains Hall in 2009 - and sees his return to the contemporary watercolour technique with which he is associated.

An accompanying book with the same title will be available featuring all the work from the exhibition.
